Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best way to care for Fable flatware?
Feel free to put your new flatware sets in the dishwasher or clean them by hand—you do you. To help reduce water spots, we recommend using a rinse aid—plain white vinegar also works—in your dishwasher. We recommend rinsing them first, not overcrowding the baskets, and not mixing in other metals such as gold and silver. If washing by hand, do not use abrasive brushes and be sure to rinse and dry immediately afterwards.
What colors does Fable flatware come in?
When designing our flatware, we settled on four different finishes to suit every home decor aesthetic—Polished Silver, Matte Silver, Matte Black, and Matte Gold. Versatile and beautiful, there’s a set to suit every home’s interior design style, from classic to modern to rustic.
Are your flatware and serving utensils dishwasher safe?
Yes, they are. We recommend giving them a quick rinse before loading them into the dishwasher.
Where is your flatware made?
Our flatware is crafted in Caldas das Taipas, Portugal, by the Herdmar family, who has been producing cutlery since 1911.
How is your flatware made?
After preparation of the raw materials, our flatware is carefully shaped and pressed before being stamped with our signature Fable logo. The polishing stage comes next, followed by quality control where each knife, fork, and spoon is reviewed with meticulous attention to detail before it’s shipped to you to be enjoyed at your dinner table.
